SCHLOTZSKY'S DELI OPENS DOORS AT LORIMONT PLACE
Schlotzsky's Deli has opened at Lorimont Place, 276 S. Mount Auburn Road.
The St. Louis-based company serves deli sandwiches, soups and salads, individually sized sourdough crust pizza and its special "original sandwich," perfected in the New Orleans' French Quarter.
The restaurant features dine-in, carry-out or patio-dining. It opens at 10:30 a.m. daily and closes at 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and at 2 p.m. Sunday.
Seating capacity in the restaurant is about 50, with another 30 seats available in the patio area.
Schlotzsky's currently has more than 400 franchised outlets nationwide.

ERA CAPE REALTY BREAKS GROUND ON NEW FACILITY
ERA Cape Realty is moving west.
The full-service real estate firm has started construction on a new office building at 1409 Mount Auburn Road.
The new structure will contain more than 6,500 square feet, with ERA Cape Realty occupying 2,900 square feet. The remaining 3,650 square feet will be available for lease.
The company has operated from facilities at 2121 Broadway the past 22 years.
ERA Cape Realty was founded in 1958 and joined the ERA Real Estate System in 1982. David and Denise Glastetter purchased the company in 1987.
The company has six full-time sales associates and three broker associates.
The new location, to be available by November, will offer "convenience and state-of-the-art technology," said David Glastetter, adding that the office will include the ERA Electronic Home Selling Network, a personal computer-based network that gives consumer access to nearly 50,000 ERA member broker listings nationwide.
The ERA system includes more than 2,500 offices worldwide. Each office is independently owned and operated.
HAMPTON INN WILL OPEN NEW HOTEL IN DYERSBERG
DYERSBURG, Tenn. -- Hampton Inn Inc. has announced the opening of a new hotel at 2750 Mall Loop Road, near Interstate 155 and Route 78.
General manager of the new, two-level, 60-room motel is Winifred Carpenter.
The Hampton Inn hotel chain is part of Promus Hotel Corp., based in Memphis, Tenn. The Hampton Inn hotel chain opened its first hotel in 1984 and now has 483 hotels in 45 states, Mexico, Canada and Costa Rico.
PHOENICIA RESTAURANT REMODELS AND EXPANDS
Phoenicia Restaurant, 1000 N. Sprigg, has a new look.
"We've remodeled and expanded," said Emad Salamy, owner and manager of Phoenicia. "We've also added an area for patio dining." With the expansion, about 20 seats have been added for a seating capacity of 80 to 85 people.
Phoenicia specializes in dishes traditionally served in the Middle East and Mediterranean areas.
Many of the foods offered at Phoenicia are low-fat and low-calorie -- primarily because many are made of mostly vegetables, Salamy added. Phoenicia offers several salads and vegetarian platters, including tabbouleh -- a mixture of tomatoes, cucumbers, green onions, parsley and cracked wheat topped with lemon juice and olive oil.
Also on the menu is shish kebab, chicken, lamb, a variety of sandwiches and desserts.
The restaurant is open for lunch from 11 a.m to 2 p.m. and for dinner from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
KNAUP FLORAL BREAKS GROUND ON NEW RETAIL OPERATION
Knaup Floral, 136 S. Pacific, will take on a new look this year.
A new retail store, fronting William Street, will include a parking lot and drive-up window.
Some greenhouses will be incorporated between the retail showroom and a house the Knaups have restored and use as living quarters.
A special groundbreaking was held at the site last week.
The expansion contract was signed June 20, the same date 75 years ago that Knaup floral opened.
The floral shop is owned and operated by Richard and Carla Knaup.
HUMANA HEALTH CARE OPENS OFFICE ON WILLIAM
Humana Health Care officially opened its new office at 2137 William St. in Cape Girardeau last week during a special ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The new office occupies 2,000 square feet of the Heritage Square strip mall.
Humana Health Care Plans provides managed health care options to more than 10,000 members in Cape Girardeau and more than 2 million nationwide, according to Jeff Andersen, director of operations for the company.
DIP & DELI RESTAURANT OPENS IN ALTENBURG
Dip & Deli has opened at Altenburg.
The new restaurant features submarine sandwiches, barbecue, salads and 16 flavors of ice cream, shakes and sundaes.
Restaurant hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday.
Rick and Mary Ann Hoffman are owners of the new business. Rick Hoffman is superintendent-principal of Altenburg Public School and Mary Ann Hoffman is a school nurse in the Cape Girardeau Public Schools.
