The Blades move to Cape Girardeau from Malden.

Patricia Blade, who works in real estate for Prudential Bridgeport Realty, will continue to work in real estate and will have a full-time sales person at the store.

"I want to keep the store much like it is," said Blade. "We'll be adding some antiques and silk flower arranging."

The store was originally opened as a bed, bath and home decor center. Items available included cards, candles, lace curtains and a number of gift items.
