NEW BUSINESS: UNISOCCER STORE OPENS

UniSoccer, a sports specialty store, has opened in West Park Mall.

UniSoccer, a division of The Doudox Co., a private family-owned enterprise, opened in Carbondale, Ill., in 1995, and relocated to the University Mall there in 1996.

"We're excited to be in the Cape Girardeau area," said Bill Robbins, a co-owner and manager of the company's marketing and merchandising.

UniSoccer offers something for everyone, said Robbins. Soccer fans can expect to find soccer-specific merchandise, equipment and team apparel from such names as Adidas, Nike, Puma and others. The store will also have equipment for skateboarding, rollerblading and surfing, featuring such labels as Wizdumb, Circus and Red Kard.

Soccer coaches, athletic directors and recreation officers can meet with Missouri Team Specialist Harry Sanders, who can assist with structuring a soccer program.

UniSoccer is in the JCPenney court, next to Garfield's.
