NEW BUSINESS: REAL ESTATE OFFICE OPENS

A new RE/MAX International Inc. real-estate office has opened at 1471 N. Kingshighway.

Doris Jean Arnold, who has been involved in the real-estate business for six years, said her decision to purchase a RE/MAX franchise came after taking a close look at the organization and what it has to offer.

The new office, said Arnold, will serve Cape Girardeau, Jackson and the surrounding area.

The office, which features state-of-the-art equipment, will accommodate up to 20 sales associates, said Arnold.

"We're excited about bringing RE/MAX to the area," said Gary M. Arnold, broker-owner. A son, Rodney G. Arnold, will manage the new office.

Re/Max is an international network of independently owned and operated offices, with headquarters at Denver, Colo. The corporation has more than 3,000 offices and more than 50,000 associates worldwide. Re/Max closed more than 1 million transactions.
