NEW BUSINESS ON THE STREET: HUTCHINGS FUNERAL CHAPEL TO OPEN SOON IN MARBLE HILL

Charles and Marian Seiler Hutchings, together with Joe and Vickie Baker Seiler of Hutchings Family Memorial Group Inc., have purchased the real estate of Baker Funeral Home in Marble Hill. The transaction was finalized Aug. 26.

The funeral home will reopen under the name of Hutchings Funeral Chapel. Wilford Brown of Marble Hill will be the managing funeral director. Plans were under way for remodeling and will be completed soon.

The Hutchings own Hutchings Photography in Jackson.

Baker Funeral Home was established in 1926 by A.J. Baker. In the early 1960s, Mike and Geneva Graham took the business over after Baker died.

The Grahams operated the business until 1977 when Eddie Graham purchased and operated the business until 1983. At that time Neil Grossheider bought the business and operated it to the present time.
