A new truck stop, with convenience store and restaurant, has opened on Route 177 north of Cape Girardeau.
The 177 Truck Stop, where Your Store was a number of years ago, provides diesel fuel and gasoline, and a trucker's lounge, complete with showers.
Also available are home-cooked meals (plate lunches) and sandwiches. The new facility, which opened Wednesday, will remain open 24 hours a day.
The new operation is near Procter & Gamble Paper Products Co., M&W Packaging and other businesses.
"We'll take telephone orders and deliver in the immediate area," said Jason Copeland. Copeland and his wife, Carmen, and Alfred and Cathy McCain are owners of the new business.
