NEW BUSINESS: NEW PLAZA TIRES

Plaza Tire Service Inc. of Cape Girardeau will open two new facilities this summer.

The company has plans for a new seven-bay, 4,600-square-foot building in Jonesboro, Ark., and a five-bay store at DuQuoin, Ill., which includes a showroom and warehouse.

Plaza Tire, established in 1963, has 27 facilities throughout Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky and Arkansas.

The company offers full lines of tires, including Dayton, Firestone and Michelin, along with a full-auto service department, which provides brakes, shocks, batteries and wheel alignment.

Plaza Tire is headquartered at Cape Girardeau, where the company operates a 12-bay services center, a 53,000-square-foot warehouse, an 8,000-square-foot operations center and a 3,000-square-foot training resource center.
