Michael C. Jones, who has worked with State Farm Insurance more than seven years, has assumed the company's agency at 1900 Broadway in Cape Girardeau.
Jones, of Cape Girardeau, worked as a claims adjuster State Farm four years, and served as an agency field specialist a year and a half, before taking a post as agency head.
Jones is replacing Don Menard, who is retiring from State farm after 33 years, 10 of them as head of the agency at 1900 Broadway.
Jones' office will be open from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8:30 a.m. to noon Saturday.
Leanne Bollinger and LaDonna Murphy are service specialists in the office.
State Farm, the largest insurer of autos and homes in America, was founded in 1922 by George J. Mecharie in Bloomington, Ill. The company, still headquartered in Bloomington, has more than 16,000 agents in the United States and Canada.
