NEW BUSINESS: NEW ACQUISITION

Cape Electrical Supply Co. of Cape Girardeau has acquired Belleville Electrical Supplies, at Belleville, Ill.

Belleville Electric, which provides a complete line of commercial, industrial and residential electrical products, also features a decorative lighting showroom.

"We're excited to acquire a business that is so compatible with our company," said Allen Toole, president of Cape Electrical Supply, which has 14 locations in four states. The company employs more than 100 people. The list of stores includes operations in Cape Girardeau, Sikeston, Poplar Bluff, West Plains, Park Hills and Arnold, all in Missouri; Paducah and Murray in Kentucky; Marion, Carbondale and Belleville in Illinois; and Dyersburg, Tenn.

The company, founded in 1953, is a full-line supplier of electrical equipment and data-communications products.
