King, who worked a the JCPenney Salon nine years, is a graduate of Stage One The Hair School in Cape Girardeau.
The salon, which will be open Monday through Saturday, has five operators -- King, Sue Lambert, Angie Glueck, Tammy Glueck and Madge Limbaugh.
