Dollar General Corp., headquartered at Nashville, Tenn., will build a multimillion-dollar distribution center at Fulton.
Construction of the 1 million-square-foot, $50 million facility will start this year with an operation target date of mid-1999.
The new center will be built on a 262-acre site in Fulton.
Dollar General, a Fortune 500 company employing more than 25,000 people at 3,269 stores in 24 states, includes operations in Missouri. Three Dollar General stores are in Cape Girardeau.
