The Southeast Missouri State University Board of Regents reappointed Dr. William Eddleman as a university representative on the River Campus Board of Managers. His new term will expire Dec. 1, 2017. __BUCK REAPPOINTED TO SHOW ME CENTER BOARD__

The Southeast Missouri State University Board of Regents reappointed Mike Buck to the Show Me Center Board of Managers. His new term will expire Dec. 1, 2017. His current term expires Dec. 1 of this year. Buck, director of recreational services at Southeast, has served two years completing the board term of Troy Vaughn, who left the university in August 2012.

__MONDI JACKSON HONORS EMPLOYEES__

Kim Kranawetter of Jackson was employee of the month for October at Mondi Jackson Inc. Kranawetter, a multicraft technician, has been with the company since Jan. 15, 1996. Mondi Jackson also recognizes the following employment anniversaries: Joshua Boyd, Pete Garner and Mike Garnett, 15 years of service; Terry Allison, Brian Brugger and Shannon Schumer, 10 years; and Roger Vrooman, five years.

__HAYDEN JOINS ROBINSON CONSTRUCTION__

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Brooke Hayden of Perryville joined Robinson Construction as a human resources/office assistant. In this role, she is responsible for assisting the human resources department with day-to-day transactions, as well as general office duties. She previously worked as a marketing intern at Perry County Memorial Hospital and an assistant manager at Wal-Mart.

__HOLCIM MAKES THREE EMPLOYEE APPOINTMENTS IN STE. GENEVIEVE__

STE. GENEVIEVE, Mo. -- Holcim's Ste. Genevieve plant, one of the world's largest cement-producing facilities, recently appointed three employees to leadership position, the Ste. Genevieve Herald reported. Corey Green was named area leader for maintenance and reliability at the plant. He has 15 years of experience in equipment repairs and worked for the past six years as a project manager with Roland Machinery Co., where he was responsible for the oversight of the maintenance contract with Holcim. Rodney Forester accepted the position of operations leader. He joined Holcim in 2008 as a cement technician in the maintenance and reliability department and most recently worked in the control room on a temporary operations leader assignment. Houston Meyer was named raw mill area leader. He joined the Ste. Genevieve team in 2011 and his most recent role was as cement technician with the raw mill team. He previously was employed at Alberici Constructors for six years.

__PRATT JOINS POPLAR BLUFF NEWS STAFF__

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. --Patrick Pratt joined the Daily American Republic as a reporter. He is covering the Twin Rivers and Neelyville school boards and other stories as needed, according to the newspaper. He has several years of experience, including the Fredericktown Democrat News, the Park Hills Daily Journal and, most recently, the Sedalia Democrat. He is a graduate of Farmington High School.

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Christopher B. Sides joined The Limbaugh Law Firm in Cape Girardeau. Before he obtained his law degree, he worked in financial and accounting management in the manufacturing and service industries. He has been a certified public accountant since 1996 and has an MBA.

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Matt Holifield was named employee of the fourth quarter for the Sikeston Department of Public Works, and Detective Chris Rataj was employee of the fourth quarter for the Sikeston Department of Public Safety.

Chef Carlos De Jesus joined the Chartwells team at Southeast Missouri State University as executive chef of campus dining. De Jesus is originally from Virginia Beach, Virginia. He has several years of experience working in high-profile restaurants and has worked as a corporate executive chef for three years at Farm Fresh Supermarkets. For the last five years, he has worked in health care contract food management with Sodexo as an executive chef.

Rodney Bridges, owner of Garber's Men's Wear in Cape Girardeau, was elected to the board of directors for N.W. Buyers, a menswear buying group that consists of 350 men's stores in the United States.

__MARSHALL EARNS MARY KAY CAREER CAR__

Nancy Marshall of Cape Girardeau, an independent sales director of Mary Kay Cosmetics, earned the use of a Mary Kay pink Cadillac for meeting and exceeding sales goals. She has worked with Mary Kay since 1991.

__ZICKFIELD EARNS REAL ESTATE LICENSE__

Wendi Zickfield of Cape Girardeau received a Missouri Real Estate Salesperson license and will be working full time for EXIT Realty-Thomas Meyer Associates. Zickfield graduated from Murray State University in 2013 with a bachelor's degree in organizational communication.

__CAPE CHAMBER HONORS EDUCATORS__

Teachers from a variety of levels were recognized Oct. 21 at the Cape Girardeau Area Chamber of Commerce's Educator Appreciation Reception. Winning Educator of the Year awards were Gretchen Bunch, first-grade teacher at Blanchard Elementary School; Lenny Kuper, math teacher from Notre Dame Regional High School; Cathy Matthews, instructor at the Adult Education and Literacy Program; Josh Tomlin from Central Academy; and Tom Holman from Southeast Missouri State University. Honorees received the Crystal Apple Award, a $500 check, resolutions of honor from the Missouri Legislature and a copy of a commemorative video. State Rep. Kathy Swan and state Sen. Wayne Wallingford presented the resolutions.

__FARRAR BECOMES LICENSED REAL ESTATE AGENT__

SOTO Property Solutions in Cape Girardeau announced that Jessica Farrar has become a licensed real estate agent and Realtor. She can now help clients create and manage wealth through real estate. Farrar has worked at SOTO since July 2013 and has also owned and managed her personal rental property since 2007. She has a bachelor's degree in business administration and marketing and five years of experience in advertising sales at FOX23.

Bill Joyce is the new pastor of Southside Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau. He and his wife Ruth have lived in the area since 1981, and he has led several churches during that time.

__FINDLAY GRADUATES FROM LEADERSHIP MISSOURI__

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Paul F. Findlay, preconstruction coordinator for Robinson Construction Co., graduated from the Leadership Missouri program sponsored by the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Thirty-five candidates completed the seven-month program. Leadership Missouri was founded in 1990 to identify current and emerging leaders throughout Missouri, enhance their leadership skills and deepen their knowledge of the challenges and opportunities facing our state. Topics included government, health care, energy and defense, transportation, agriculture, education and recovery and team building.

__HOLDERBY, GERAU NAMED TO RED CROSS LEADERSHIP__

Nigel Holderby was named executive director for the Red Cross in Southern Missouri. Holderby had been interim executive director since September, after regional CEO Debi Meeds left to become president/CEO of the United Way of the Ozarks. Holderby began as a volunteer with the chapter in 2007 and has been the regional chief communications officer for the past three years. Additionally, Sara Gerau was named executive director for the Southeast Missouri Chapter of the American Red Cross, effective Nov. 1. She began as a board member with the chapter in 2007 and has been executive director of financial development for the past four and half years.

__SANDGREN-KEMPF IS CERTIFIED SANDALS SPECIALIST__

Carolyn Sandgren-Kempf, president/CEO of Elite Travel Inc., completed the Sandals Resorts' Certified Sandals Specialist program. A Certified Sandals Specialist is a travel professional who has completed extensive training in everything Sandals Resorts have to offer. Agents who earn the designation are required to complete a rigorous education and training program on a yearly basis.

__YELEY HIRED AS ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT__

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. -- Jessica Yeley began working Oct. 27 as administrative assistant for Poplar Bluff city manager Heath Kaplan, the Daily American Republic reported. She has a bachelor's degree in organizational management from Hannibal-LaGrange University and an MBA from William Woods University. She has experience in banking, retail management and corporate loans, all in Poplar Bluff. Yeley replaces Trista Dumas, who was serving as a temporary administrative assistant.

__SCHABBING NAMED MANAGER OF AG RESEARCH CENTER__

Collin Schabbing of Dutchtown was named manager of Southeast Missouri State University's David M. Barton Agriculture Research Center. Schabbing began his new duties July 1 at the 252-acre facility south of Gordonville, which features emerging technologies in cow-calf management and irrigated row-crop production, according to a news release from the university. The center also serves as a teaching asset for undergraduate research and education. Schabbing is responsible for administering the full-scale farming operation after serving as interim manager since his graduation from Southeast in May. He holds a bachelor of science degree in agribusiness, animal science option. Schabbing also works with student employees at the center, giving them daily responsibilities, teaching them and making sure they follow safety precautions. Aside from his daily tasks as the center manager, Schabbing has future goals for the center, including starting a show team. He said a show team is currently being created with plans of showing cattle next March.

__COLE JOINS LORENZ & LORENZ__

Lorenz & Lorenz LLC in Cape Girardeau added Chris Cole as of counsel attorney, effective Oct. 1. Cole brings experience serving clients in the areas of real estate, business, corporate law and planning and estate planning. He currently serves as in-house legal counsel for Realty Executives of Cape County and assists in the real estate company's day-to-day management. He previously served as an associate attorney at The Limbaugh Firm. Cole will maintain his current position and capacity with Realty Executives, in addition to practicing with Lorenz & Lorenz LLC. Cole received his bachelor degree from the University of Missouri - Columbia and his graduate degree in law from the University of Missouri - Kansas City.
