Jared Freese of Crystal City, Mo., was appointed college unit director for the Hahs Group of Northwestern Mutual in Cape Girardeau. Freese earned his business management/finance degree from Southeast Missouri State University in 2010.

FLUEGGE WOOLF GRADUATES FROM LEADERSHIP MISSOURI
Dr. Erin Fluegge Woolf, professor of management at Southeast Missouri State University, graduated from the Leadership Missouri program sponsored by the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Thirty qualified candidates completed the 2012 Leadership Missouri program. Fluegge served as president of the 2012 Leadership Missouri Class. The seven-month program began in April with a trip to Jefferson City, Mo. Consecutive sessions were held each month in Branson, Joplin, Kirksville, St. Louis, Warrensburg and Lake Ozark, Mo.
MISSOURI BAR RECOGNIZES SENIOR COUNSELORS
Seventy-nine members of The Missouri Bar received the Senior Counselor designation at the bar's annual meeting Oct. 18 in St. Louis. The Senior Counselor title is bestowed upon lawyers who have reached the age of 75 or who have been admitted to The Missouri Bar for 50 years. Southeast Missouri members recognized include Cape Girardeau attorney Walter S. Drusch Jr. and Stoddard County attorneys C.H. Parsons Jr. of Dexter and Donald R. Rhodes of Bloomfield.
ALLGOOD AWARDED FOR CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS
KENNETT, Mo. -- Randi Allgood of the Edward Jones financial services firm in Kennett won the firm's Ted Jones Entrepreneurial Award for her exceptional achievement in building client relationships. Allgood was one of 852 of the firm's 12,000 financial advisers to receive the award.
BROWN GETS STATE AWARD
POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. -- Donnie Brown, a retired employee of Ozark Border Electric Cooperative, received the A.C. Burrows Award from the Association of Missouri Electric Cooperatives at its annual meeting Oct. 5 in Branson, Mo. The award recognizes directors and employees of electric cooperatives for outstanding service to their cooperative. Brown worked at Ozark for 47 years.

RETIREMENT, PROMOTIONS ANNOUNCED IN PUBLIC SAFETY
SIKESTON, Mo. -- Capt. Mark Crocker will retire from the Sikeston Department of Public Safety in December. Jim McMillen was chosen to replace Crocker as captain. McMillen began his career with Sikeston in 1998 and has worked in various positions throughout the department since that time, most recently as detective lieutenant over criminal investigations. He is now assigned as captain over patrol division, and Capt. Mike Williams is serving over special services. Andy Cooper will replace McMillen as lieutenant. He has worked with the department since 1996 and is now assigned to criminal investigations as detective lieutenant. Bethany McDermott will serve as sergeant. She has worked with the city since 2004, most recently as a detective and evidence custodian. McDermott will be assigned as a sergeant in patrol or fire division, depending on the department's current need.
MCELWAIN NAMED DISTRICT MANAGER
SIKESTON, Mo. -- Mark McElwain is the new district manager for Reliable Insurance Co., a division of Kemper Co. Promoted to the position in October, McElwain is in charge of a district that goes from south of St. Louis to north of Memphis, Tenn., including 20 employees.

Craig Bohnsack was named assistant vice president of First Community Bank in Cape Girardeau. Bohnsack earned a master's of business administration degree and bachelor's of economic finance degree at Southeast Missouri State University. He has seven years of banking experience and will be responsible for expanding market presence and generating new business loans.
BANK OF MISSOURI CHANGES JACKSON LEADERSHIP
Larry Hall plans to retire at the end of the year as community president for the Bank of Missouri in Jackson. Kyle M. Thompson was appointed president-elect. Hall has been in banking for 35 years and served as president of the Jackson branch for nine years. Thompson graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia and Southwest Graduate School of Banking in Dallas and will graduate in 2013 from the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin in Madison.
CRADER RE-ELECTED AS DELEGATE
David Crader, Bank of Missouri chief executive officer, was re-elected as financial delegate for the Independent Community Bankers of America. Crader will work on recruiting and advocacy and serve as liaison with independent community bankers in Missouri and ICBA staff. ICBA works with independent community banks and savings institutions.

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Zach Fayette joined Focus Bank as vice president of lending. He has worked for the past year as vice president of loan review at Focus Bank. He is also attending the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University.

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. -- Kurt Knodell, an agent with Poplar Bluff Realty, graduated from the Missouri Association of Realtors Leadership Academy. He was one of only 13 selected to attend the academy. The objective of the academy is to identify Missouri Realtors who have demonstrated leadership potential and an interest in the Realtor organization, and to train and motivate participants by developing leadership and teambuilding skills.
