Geringer presented preliminary sketches and was selected to do the mural follow an inquiry by Jim Govro, Shoppingtown's general manager.

In the Where's Westie promotion, Westie, the Shoppingtown's official mascot kangaroo, will be hidden throughout the mural every week. Shoppers must find Westie and record his location to win weekly prizes. Each weekly winner will be entered in a contest for a $250 shopping spree to be awarded Oct. 8.

Persons must be 12 years or older to participate. Additional information is available by calling 339-1333
