Alto Vineyards earned four of the five gold medals awarded to participating Illinois wineries. The vineyard also received four silver and two bronze medals.
Among the wines with Gold Medals were the 1999 Chambourcin, the 1999 Rosso Classic, 1999 Chancellor and the l2000 Heartland Red.
