MEMO: TWO AREA HARDWARE STORES UNDERGO REDESIGN

Elias Ace Hardware, 1719 N. Kingshighway in Cape Girardeau, and 3101 Sycamore in Cairo, Ill., have completed a major redesign of paint and paint-cleaning supplies departments in the two stores.

Fred Elias, owner of the stores, said the renovations were developed based on customer preferences and comments.

"The new design will make it easier for shoppers to find paint, applicators, tools and cleaning accessories," said Elias. "Lighted color centers are featured to help customers find the exact color of paint."

The Elias stores are two of the more than 5,100 Ace Hardware stores in the country.
