The Marion, Ill., Pepsi-Cola Bottling Co. has named its new fleet building in honor of two brothers who were long-time employees of the company.
Ernie Burns retired recently after 37 years of service to the company. Burns' late brother, Loy Burns, was employed at Marion Pepsi 36 years, for a total of 73 combined years in sales and vending repair.
The new fleet building will be called the Burns Building, said Harry L. Crisp II, chairman of Marion Pepsi.
Many members of the Burns family and more than 1,000 Pepsi employees and family members attended the annual Pepsi Picnic at Marion recently, where the Burns honor was announced.
