Two meetings will be held at the Cape Girardeau County Extension Center next week at Jackson.

* The Missouri-Illinois Beef Conference Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

* The District 7 Soybean meeting, scheduled Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Improving production methods and increasing profits will be the focus of the Missouri-Illinois Beef session, featuring speakers from University of Illinois Extension, University of Missouri Extension and private industry.

Cost for the conference is $10, which includes lunch.

The "New Trends in Soybean Production" program Wednesday, will feature topics on improving soybean income, soybean diseases, soybean marketing and weed control. Preregistration is required for a free dinner, provided by the Soybean Merchandising Council. Dinner at the door will cost $7.50.
