The Bootheel Irrigation Conference and Trade Show will be held Friday at Rone Hall at the University of Missouri Delta Center in Portageville.
Regular sessions begin at 8 a.m., with introductory remarks by John Gardner, the university's associate dean for extension.
Registration costs $10 on the day of the conference, which opens with an early-bird breakfast at 6:30 a.m.
Among the speakers are MU agronomist Peter Scharf, Ken Sudduth, director of Missouri Precision Agriculture Center, who will talk about the results of his research into using infrared sensors to schedule irrigation and MU Delta Center soybean breeder Grover Shannon, who will moderate a panel discussion, Delta irrigation specialist Joe Henggeler, and MU marketing specialist David Reinbott.

An Irrigated Vegetable Banquet, also at Rone Hall, will be held at 5 p.m. the evening before the conference.
