The three beers -- Faust, Muenchener and Black and Tan -- were first brewed at the turn of the century by Adolphus Busch, the great grandfather of August A. Busch III, president and chief executive of the world's largest beer maker.

The company used handwritten notes and sales literature from the turn of the century to develop its American Originals.

"They are as close to the style, taste and look of the original beers as we can discern from our archival records," said August A. Busch IV, vice president of brand management.
