WPSD Local 6 is now broadcasting what it calls its most popular programs in high definition through the use of its new high definition server. Some of its weekday programs in this new format include "The Insider," "Dr. Phil," "Jeopardy" and "Wheel of Fortune." In accordance to the Federal Deficit Reduction Act of 2005, all television stations must switch from analog to digital signals by Feb. 17, 2009. The station also is broadcasting SEC football coverage in high definition and will broadcast SEC basketball games, including University of Kentucky Wildcat games, in HD this winter.
