The Southeast Missouri Business Group on Health will hold its annual meeting Tuesday at the Drury Lodge in Cape Girardeau.
A social hour starts at 6 p.m., with dinner at 6:30.
Sean Sullivan will be guest speaker. He is president and CEO of the National Business Coalition on Health, the national organization of employer-led coalitions promoting community-based reform of the health care system.

"Marketing Planning for Manufacturers," including marketing strategy and the need for marketing in the 1990s, will be discussed during a half-day workshop slated for May 4 at the University Center on Southeast Missouri State University campus.
Speakers for the workshop, from 8 a.m. to noon, will be Dennis Roedemeier and Rick Prugh, Missouri Enterprise, and Terry Maynard, State Marketing Specialist with the Missouri Small Business Development Center (SBDC).
A panel of Southeast Missouri manufacturers will discuss successes, failures and recommendations in marketing products and company image.
Cost of the workshop, which is being offered by the Southeast Missouri State University Small Business Development Center, University Extension, and Missouri Enterprise, is $45 in advance for two people from the same company.

With the touch of a finger, this ATM-style computer can help music fans ferret out a song by title, providing all the detailed information on a record, including artist, label, catalog number, recording information and even positive reviews from prominent publications.
A song title search is accessible in three ways, says Steve McCord of Disc Jockey, West Mark Mall, which has installed the MUZE system. Listings can be looked up by artist, album, song title or a word in the title.
The database includes all genres -- folk music, country, rock 'n roll, classical.
Disk Jockey is one of only 200 stores nationwide with the new program.
MUZE was created by radio producer Paul Zullo and real estate investor Trev Huxzley. The program has a 100,000-album data base of recordings on compact disc and audio-cassette.
Rental Land Inc., 1922 Independence in Cape Girardeau, recently was recognized by Ryder Truck Rental for its 20th year as a Ryder rental franchise dealer.
Rental Land started renting Ryder trucks in 1974. During the past year, Rental Land installed a new computer system, which links the firm directly with the nationwide Ryder system.

Capital Bancorporation's net income for the three months ended March 31, was $1,627,000, up 3 percent over the first quarter of 1993. Earnings per common and common equivalent share for the three months were 49 cents, up from the 48 cents for the first quarter of 1993. Total assets exceeded $837,000,000.
Non-performing loans at March 31 were $3,954,000. The allowance for possible loan losses was $10,684,000, representing approximately 270 percent of non-performing loans and approximately 1.66 percent of total loans.
On March 8, Capital Bancorporation and Bank of South County announced the two organizations entered into a definitive agreement providing for the merger of Bank of South County into a subsidiary of Capital Bancorporation. Bank of South County, in St. Louis, has total assets of approximately $65,000,000.
Under the terms of the agreement, stockholders of the Bank of South County will receive 4.1454 shares of Capital Bancorporation common stock for each share of Bank of South County common stock. Total consideration for the 110,000 shares of Bank of South County outstanding will be approximately 456,000 shares of Capital Bancorporation common stock. The agreement contains customary conditions of closing for this type of transaction, including approval of the shareholders of the Bank of South County and receipt of regulatory approvals. The acquisition is expected to be completed during the fourth quarter of 1994.
On April 18, the board of directors declared a regular quarterly cash dividend of 17 cents per share on common stock, payable May 5 to shareholders of record April 28, and declared the quarterly cash dividend with respect to the preferred stock (depositary shares) payable June 1 to holders of record May 25.

Payne of the Lichtenegger, Payne and Weiss law firm of Jackson, was named "Boss of the Year;" Christy Marshall was named "Legal Secretary of the Year; and Julie Wengert was named the association's "Member of the Year." Dana Corporation has announced record sales of $1.6 billion for the first quarter of 1994, 21 percent over 1993 first-quarter sales and a 12 percent increase over the previous quarter record.
Net income increased 103 percent to $47.7 million, from $23.5 million during the same quarter a year ago. Earnings per share were 97 cents compared to 51 cents a year ago.
Dana's Board of Directors also approved a two-for-one stock split and an amendment to the company's Articles of Incorporation to increase the number of authorized shares of the company's common stock from 120 million to 240 millions. The effective date for the split and amendment is June 1, 1994.
Dana has recorded 226 consecutive dividends without a decrease, dating back to 1936, noted Southwood J. Morcott, chairman and chief executive officer.

Commerce Bancshares, Inc. declared a second-quarter cash dividend of 17 cents per share, payable June 30 to stockholders of record on June 3.
This marks the 26th consecutive year in which total dividends paid per share have increased over the previous year.

CHICAGO - Sears, Roebuck and Co. plans to start its own line of moderately-priced cosmetics and fragrances by fall 1995.
Sears began re-installing cosmetics departments last November after a 10-year hiatus. It has opened 26 departments since then and hopes to open 100 more this year, featuring Revlon and L'Oreal products.
Sears said Wednesday it plans to put its own line, called Beauty Style Inc., in more than 200 stores.
