The Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours session will be held July 18, at the Holiday Inn Oak Room.

The monthly session, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. is sponsored by the chamber's membership committee, and is designed to encourage members to meet, mingle and make new business contacts.

"Tele-Focus '95," will be the title of a special satellite program to be held Wednesday at Edward D. Jones & Co. office, 1749 Independence.

The program is being sponsored by Joe and Donna Domian, Edward D. Jones & Co. investment representatives.

The program will examine the rapidly changing telecommunications industry and identify what the changes will mean to individual investors.

Speakers for the program, being broadcast from Jones' St. Louis headquarters, include Edward Whitacre, chairman and CEO of SBC Communications; Alan Skrainka, chief market strategist for Jones; and David Otto, telecommunications analyst at the Jones Co.

The satellite program will be aired live, and viewers will have an opportunity to phone in questions to be answered on the air.

The board of directors of Roosevelt Financial Group Inc. has declared a regular quarterly dividend of 81.25 cents a share on the company's Series A 6.5 percent non-cumulative convertible preferred stock and on Series F 6.5 percent non-cumulative convertible preferred stock.

Dividends will be payable Aug. 15 to stockholders of record Aug. 4.

MARION, Ill. -- The Williamson County Tourism Bureau, headquartered at Marion, has received a certificate of Achievement Award, from the Mid-America Economic Development Council (MAEDC) for its annual "Williamson County Goose Hunting Guide."

Williamson County has been producing the annual goose hunting guide seven years, and distributes more than 6,000 guides annually through requested mailings, travel and trade shows throughout the Midwest.

The fold-up guide lists hunting clubs and operations, motels and goose-hunting tips.

DEXTER -- The Arvin North American Automotive plant at Dexter has a new contract with General Motors.

The plant, which produced automotive products, will start production in January on exhaust systems for new General Motors vans.

The systems will be used on 1996 full-sized GM vans, which will be produced in Wentzville.

The annual volume of the exhaust assemblies is about 290,000 units.

The plant employs more than 600 people.
