Financial author and television commentator Jean Chatzky will present a free public lecture on debt reduction and financial independence at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Glenn Auditorium in Dempster Hall on the Southeast Missouri State University campus.
Small Business Round table to meet Nov. 20
The Small Business Round Table program will present the program "Advertising on a small business budget" at noon Nov. 20, at the Southeast Missouri State University Innovation Center, 920 Broadway. There is a cost and seating is limited. Call the Cape Girardeau Area Chamber of Commerce at 335-3312 to register.

Three ribbon cuttings scheduled this week
The Cape Girardeau Area Chamber of Commerce has three ribbon cuttings planned:
- 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, Crouch, Farley & Heuring PC at 623 S. Silver Springs Road, Suite 410.
- 3:30 Wednesday, Judevine Outreach Services of the Southeast Missouri Autism Project, 107 S. Broadview St. An open house will follow.
- 11:30 a.m. Friday, eDen Salon and Boutique, 97 N. Kingshighway, Suite 4.
