Tower Rock Winery wins gold medal

Tower Rock Winery in Altenburg, Mo., has won a gold medal in Missouri's Wine Competition for its 2004 Cynthiana Reserve. Tower Rock's Bob Breuer said the winery won the best of class for dry red wine in the state also and is also a finalist for the Governor's Cup, to be announced Sept. 28. The winery also took silver medals in the Indy International Wine Competition, the United States' largest wine competition, with more than 3,600 wines entered from 39 states and 17 countries.
