A pair of new hires has joined Mercy Southeast. Anna Lopez will serve as the system’s chief operating officer, while Katie Finder will become its new chief nursing officer.

Lopez previously worked in the Methodist Le Bonheur health system, spending the last five years as the chief operating officer of its Germantown, Tennessee, hospital. She had worked for the Methodist Le Bonheur system for 28 years, including 14 in leadership roles.

“I’m thrilled to be joining both Mercy and the Southeast Missouri community,” she said in a news release. “I see so much opportunity to grow the care we provide here. And I’m looking forward to serving this community in a way that fulfills the legacy and carries out the mission established by the Sisters of Mercy.”

Lopez earned her Master of Business Administration from Union University in Jackson, Tennessee. She also earned a Bachelor of Radiologic Science Administration from Saint Joseph’s College of Maine in Standish.

Finder, a Missouri native, began her career with Mercy, starting with a position at Mercy St. Louis in 2008. She had most recently spent two and a half years as the chief nursing officer for Mercy Ardmore in Oklahoma.

“I enjoyed my time in Ardmore, where I had the chance to develop leaders and focus on excellent, compassionate care with our nursing team,” Finder said in a news release. “To be given the opportunity to use that experience and continue this same mission back in my home state, close to where I grew up, is amazing.”

Her other roles include working in a cardiovascular intensive are unit and a surgical progressive step-down unit, as well as in behavioral health.

FInder graduated from Lutheran School of Nursing in St. Louis in 2010 and earned a master’s degree in nursing from Maryville University in St. Louis in 2017.
