As of March 1, Convenient Care, previously inside Saint Francis Medical Center’s Emergency Department, consolidated with and become part of Immediate Convenient Care, which has locations in Cape Girardeau and Jackson. ICC offers urgent care during extended hours during the week and over the weekend, with no appointment necessary, according to a news release from Saint Francis.
__GURLEY JOINS MCPHERSON MEDICAL__
KENNETT, Mo. — Connie Gurley joined McPherson Medical and Diagnostics on Jan. 1 as a family nurse practitioner, according to the Daily Dunklin Democrat. She sees patients at the Kennett and Steele, Missouri, locations.
__DAVIS JOINS SELECT PHYSICAL THERAPY__
Terry Davis joined the team at Select Physical Therapy in Jackson. Davis, a graduate of Meadow Heights High School, attended Southeast Missouri State University and completed physical-therapy training at the University of Missouri in Columbia. He has more than 24 years of experience.
__MURUGASER JOINS SOUTHEAST HOSPITAL__
Dr. Jehan Murugaser joined the medical staff of Southeast Hospital and is affiliated with Southeast Primary Care. A member of the American Association of Family Physicians, Murugaser earned his medical degree at St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada and completed his residency in Family Medicine at York Hospital in York, Pennsylvania.
__SAINT FRANCIS ADDS MIDWIFE SERVICE__
Saint Francis Healthcare System now offers the services of a certified nurse midwife. Tracy Carr is a certified nurse midwife who sees patients at Cape Care for Women and Cape Primary Care and delivers babies at Saint Francis Medical Center. Emily Sikes Blattel, marketing communications specialist at Saint Francis, said Carr is the only certified nurse midwife practicing in Cape Girardeau.
