Gas prices hold steady nationwide, with minor increases in Missouri. The national average for regular gas is $3.45 per gallon, while Missouri sees a slight rise to $3.06.

Fuel prices across the country saw little variation over the past week. The national average for regular gas remained at $3.45 a gallon, while Missouri’s average cost for the same rose just two cents to $3.06.

The average cost for diesel fuel likewise saw two-cent bumps from last week, with per-gallon costs being $3.81 nationally and $3.39 in Missouri. The Show Me State still ranks as one of the cheapest in the nation in both categories.

County averages Monday (per AAA)

  • Cape Girardeau: $3.04;
  • Perry: $3.01;
  • Scott: $3.17.

  • Cape Girardeau: $2.94 to $2.95;
  • Jackson: $2.79 to $3.09;
  • Perryville: $2.95 to $3.19;
  • Scott City: $3.14 to $3.19.
