Frozen yogurt, gardening shops apply for business licenses

Two business license applications were received last week by the City of Cape Girardeau's community development office, submitted by:

• Dawn Kirby of Cape Girardeau to operate Simply Swirled, serving frozen yogurt, scooped ice cream and toppings, and non-alcoholic beverages, at 274 S. Mount Auburn Road, plus a mobile unit with an opening date listed as Oct. 18.
• Josh Lofton of Cobden, Illinois, who opened Growerz Pharm Supply LLC/GroUp Gardening, with and opening date of Oct. 1 at 2100 William St.
