Coffee shop, Chinese restaurant apply for business licenses with City of Cape

Two business license applications have been received by the City of Cape Girardeau's community development office.

• Elizabeth Gray to open Scooter's Coffee, 2404 William St., as a drive-through coffee kiosk. Opening date is listed as Dec. 13.
• Kyle Jay Wise of Goreville, Illinois, assumes ownership of China Palace restaurant, 2123 Broadway, as of Dec. 1. The business was formerly owned by Zhixiang Cai.
