Christian consignment book store is open in Jackson

Simply Lovely Artistry & His Blessings Books Consignment Shop is now open at 3184 High Street at Hubble Creek Antiques in Jackson. The shop features crafts, collectibles and home decor, as well as new and used Christian books.

"My family makes all different types of scarves and keepsake items," said owner Sara Bohnert of Altenberg, Mo. "People give us their old clothing; we make a remembrance for a person by turning their things into things they can wear or use to decorate their home."

The store also sells greeting cards, girls' dresses, denim blankets, jewelry, hair bows and head bands, and birdhouses. Prints by Christian artist Jack Dawson, who hides Christian symbolism in his paintings, are also available. In the future, Bohnert plans to host children's activities and craft demonstrations. Simply Lovely Artistry & His Blessings Books Consignment Shop is open from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

* Bagger Dave's Legendary Burger Tavern will open June 10 in the Town Plaza shopping center, 2016 William St. in Cape Girardeau. Owners Bill Zellmer and Lonnie Griggs are the first franchisees of the Michigan-based restaurant chain. The brothers-in-law operate six Buffalo Wild Wings franchises in the region, including one in Town Plaza. * United Rentals Inc. recently completed its acquisition of RSC Holdings Inc., which has a location at 2050 Southern Expressway in Cape Girardeau. The Cape location has eight employees who will remain in their current positions. * Missouri Delta Medical Center has partnered with Provider Plus Inc., a full service medical equipment company, to become the supplier of respiratory equipment, durable medical equipment and supplies for Missouri Delta Medical Equipment and their patients. Provider Plus Inc. will be located at 102 Smith St. next to Continu-Care Home Health Services and will include a retail showroom that will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Missouri Delta Medical Equipment will have customer service representatives managing the central intake process and will be located at 1008 N.
