Cape looking at licenses for Italian, short-term rental, fitness businesses

City of Cape Girardeau's Community Development Department is processing the following business license applications:

• Gabriele Carmelo Ruggieri of Cape Girardeau for Speck Pizza Street Food at 430 Broadway. The restaurant will also offer cooking classes. Ruggieri, who also owns Gabriel's Food & Wine in downtown Cape Girardeau, anticipates opening the new eatery Aug. 1.
• Amber Louise Kimbrell of Cape Girardeau for SEMO Short Stays LLC, a furnished short-term rental property management company, with a Friday start date.
• Mitchell Lewis Glueck of Jackson for River City Fitness, 1131 N. Kingshighway, Suite K, expected to open July 29.
