Pat Miller has been honored as "Woman of the Year" by the River City Business and Professional Women's organization.
Miller, president of the local group, will compete in the statewide BPW Woman of the Year contest.
Dorothy Michaelis is new president of the club. Other officers announced by nominates chairman Sue Batchelor, include Susan Smith, president-elect; Shirley Seabaugh, vice president; Brenday Neumeyer, secretary; and Lois Stewart, treasurer.
Three presentations were made at the latest meeting of the club. Neva Mowery, co-chairman of the Foundation Committee, presented a program on "How the BPW Foundation Works," and Shirley Seabaugh reported on the recent BPW Legislative Conference, held at Jefferson City. Also appearing at the metering was Dr. Martha S. Zlokovich, associate professor at Southeast Missouri State University. She is a candidate for the Cape Girardeau School Board.
