BUSINESS PERSONNEL: SOUTHERN ALUMNI EDITOR

Eugene E. ("Gene") Green, a former sports editor for the Southeast Missourian, is new editor of Southern Illinois University's alumni publication, Southern Alumni, a quarterly magazine with an annual circulation of about 230,000.

Green has served as sports publicity specialist at SIU-Carbondale since 1990, producing brochures and media guides for the university's athletic teams. He was named director of sports information in 1996.

Green, a 1975 SIU-C graduate and native of Marion, Ill., was sports editor at the Southeast Missourian before joining the University of Missouri-Rolla in media relations. He spent 10 years at Rolla before moving to SIU.
