Don Fisher is new manager for the JCPenney Co. Inc. store in West Park Mall at Cape Girardeau.
Fisher, who has been with the JCPenney company 35 years, is moving to Cape Girardeau from Dodge City, Kan., where he had served as manager two years.
Fisher, a graduate of Texas Tech in Lubbock, with a degree in business administration, specializing in advertising, joined JCPenney's at Lubbock in 1963.
Before becoming a store manager, he was district events manager in Denver, where he was in charged of advertising layouts, special events and public relations for 12 stores.
Prior to that he served as business planning manger of home and women's divisions in Denver.
"I'm really excited about being in Cape Girardeau," said Fisher, "I've known Harry Rediger since the 1970s, and have learned a lot about this community."
Fisher replaced Rediger, who served as manager of the local store more than 20 years before retiring Dec. 1.
Fisher and his wife, Ardell, will move Cape Girardeau in the near future. They are parents of four grown children.
