Earline Urhahn, of Heartland Care & Rehab Center, 2525 Boutin, in Cape Girardeau has been named 1999 "Missouri Health Care Association (MHCA) Volunteer of the Year."
Urhahn was honored during the MHCA Convention, held recently at Tan-Tar-A, in recognition for her many volunteer hours at the rehab center.
"She visits the facility almost daily, helping with crafts, baking, parties, outings and bingo.
Urhahn was earlier selected as the MHCA District Volunteer, qualifying for state competition.
She was accompanied to the MHCA Convention by Glenda Cato, administrator at Heartland Care; Genny Ferguson, the center's activity director, and a friend, Karen Stoops.
