Gary L. Anderson has been named director of neurosciences at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
In his new position, Anderson will serve as liaison between physicians, patient care staff and patients. He will also facilitate continuing education programs for staff involved with neurosciences and will work with post-care support groups.
Anderson, a registered nurse, previously worked as senior organ procurement coordinator of the Neuroscience Line with Christian Health Services and as a nursing supervisor at DePaul Health Center, both in St. Louis.
Anderson, a native of Jackson, holds a bachelor's degree in nursing from Webster University in St. Louis and has completed worked toward a master's degree in nursing at University of Missouri-Kansas City. He has served as an instructor for the critical care nursing program at Barnes Hospital and Washington University in St. Louis and for the Illinois Trauma Care Course at Carbondale, Ill.
