Dr. Gerald H. "Jerry" Dennis has joined CompreHealth Medical Center, 1435 Mount Auburn Road.
Dennis, who comes to Cape Girardeau from the Kansas City area, will provide a range of occupational medical services, such as pre-employment physicals and treatment for work-related injuries. He is certified by the FAA as a Class l aviation medical examiner.
Dennis has been in private practice the past decade. He previously managed the Occupational Health Services Inc. of Kansas City. He also served as regional flight surgeon for the FAA's Central Region and as assistant chief of industrial medicine for General Motors' Inland Manufacturing Division in Dayton, Ohio.
Dennis received his medical degree from Ohio State University's School of Medicine and completed an internship at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton before joining the Air Force, where he received training in aerospace medicine through the School of Aerospace Medicine at Brooks AFB in San Antonio, Texas.
He is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice and the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine.
He is also a fellow in the American College of Family Practice and has been a member of the Uniformed Service Academy and the American Medical Association.
CompreHealth Medical Center is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday.
