A number of Cape Girardeau physicians attended the Missouri State Medical Association's 1999 Annual Convention at Osage Beach.
Jean Chapman, Tom Critchlow, Melvin Kasten, Richard Martin and Thomas Sparkman were among the more than 500 physicians at the four-day event.
Workshops during the convention included the physician-patient relations in an era of managed care, electronic communications with patients, analyzing medical employment contracts, and coding and electronic record problems.
