Young was selected as one of the five finalists for a $10,000 first prize for a radio station-produced commercial. He emerged the big winner during the awards banquet held in New York City earlier this month.
Young's commercial, "Same Old Song & Dance," was produced for local long-distance company, MVP Communications. The commercial received a number of awards including three awards in the local Addy competition and a merit award by the Missouri Broadcast Association
