St. Francis Medical Center's Marketing Department received two awards from the Missouri Association for Healthcare Public Relations and Marketing at the Missouri Hospital Association Convention in Osage Beach.
A second-place award was given for the "Feel Good" advertising campaign, an overall wellness program emphasizing developing healthy habits.
The department also received a third-place award in the direct mail category for a breast cancer awareness promotion in its "WomanCare" program.
Robert Steinberg of Cape Girardeau has joined Zimmer Broadcasting as chief financial officer.
Zimmer Broadcast owns 12 radio stations in Missouri and Illinois.
Steinberg previously served as chief financial officer for Meredith Corp.'s Broadcasting Group of New York City; business manager for a number of radio and television stations for Taft Broadcasting and Metromeida Inc., and as vice president of finance and administration for Engles Communications in Cape Girardeau.
Steinberg is graduate of New York University, with a degree in accounting. He is a past president of the Broadcast Cable Financial Management Association.
Stephanie Johnston has joined Tamms State Bank as manager of the bank's Cairo branch office.
John R. Abercrombie, president of Tamms State Bank, recently announced Johnston's appointment to vice president and branch manager.
Johnston, of Olive Branch, Ill., has more than 12 years of banking experience. She started her banking career in 1983 as a new accounts representative and bookkeeper for First Bank & Trust Co. of Cairo. Prior to joining Tamms Bank, she was serving as vice president of branch operations for MidAmerica Bank (formerly First Bank & Trust).
Johnston is a graduate of Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, with a degree in consumer economics and management. She has also attended a number of banking schools, including American Bankers Association Compliance School and National Graduate Board of Compliance Management.
Dr. Monti Ferronato, a specific chiropractor, has joined Kessinge Specific Chiropractic, 1424 Kurre Lane.
Ferronato, a Chaffee native, is a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University with a degree in chemistry. He worked as a chemist two years in Ste. Genevieve before enrolling in Palmer College of Chiropractic, Davenport, Iowa, where he graduated magna cum laude.
He studied specific chiropractic under Dr. Michael Kale, a noted authority in the Upper Cervical Specific Brain Stem procedure.
Ralph Sharp, manager of Tobacco Lane in West Park Mall, recently attended the Retail Tobacco Dealers Buying Show at Orlando, Fla.
Some new lines have been added, and a number of lines expanded with gifts and collectibles introduced at the show.
Steve Rhodes is a winner in the Sears Card "Thanks a Million" sweepstakes.
Rhodes of Jackson will receive a $1,000 Sears Card shopping spree at the Cape Girardeau Sears Roebuck & Co. store at 2102 William.
Rhodes' entry was one of almost 18 million entries in the sweepstakes.
A total of 800 winners were selected, one for each Sears department store in the nation.
Mary Scholl, a travel consultant with Elite Travel Inc., 354 S. Silver Springs Road, recently completed a cruise on Carnival's ship, Holiday.
While in Ensenada, Scholl toured the local wine industry.
