Darrell Long of Cape Girardeau, president of the Scott City Division of Supervalu, has taken on the additional responsibility as president of the St. Louis Division.
Long's new appointment was announced recently by O'Neill McDonald, president of the Supervalu Midwest Region.
The two divisions employ more than 800 people.
Charles Klughart of Scott City has completed the advance course in hardware retailing.
The six-month correspondence course is produced by Home Center Institute and includes subjects from power equipment to plumbing supplies.
Klughart is employed by Orscheln Farm and Home.
Bill Yuede and David Shell, both of Boatmen's Bank, have graduated from the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Colorado at Boulder.
Yuede, vice president for commercial lending, has been with Boatmen's more than eight years. Shell, vice president for real estate lending, started with Boatmen's in 1991.
The school entails a three-year training program.
Carolyn Rouviere, president of Hair Biz Inc., a beauty salon at 312 Independence, Cape Girardeau, has been elected first president of the Missouri Cosmetology Association Inc.
Rouvier, who will serve a two-year term, was installed during the group's annual convention at the Double Tree Hotel in Chesterfield.
Roger L. Eakins, livestock specialist with University Extension, has been recognized for service to the state's agricultural community by the Missouri Farm Bureau Federation. Eakins recently received the "Outstanding Agriculturalist Award," presented by University Outreach and Extension's annual conference.
Eakins, who works with a variety of agricultural interests in developing educational programs and demonstrations, was nominated for the award by Cape Girardeau County Farm Bureau and the Cape Girardeau Extension Council.
Eakins cooperates with community business interests to raise awareness of the importance of the livestock industry in the Cape Girardeau area. He also serves as Bollinger County program director.
Steve Fritzler of Aid Association for Lutherans (AAL), has received the M. Luther Hahs Life Underwriter of the Year Award.
The award recognizes Fritzler's outstanding contribution to the life and health insurance industry and to the community.
Fritzler received his award during a recent meeting of the Cape Girardeau Life and Underwriters Association.
Four promotions have been announced at Dana Corp., 2075 Corporate Circle.
Richard Thompson, Mike Pobst, Johnny Owen and Terry Taylor have been promoted to shift coordinators.
All four men started as cell technicians at Dana and were promoted to cell leaders during their first 18 months with the company.
Thompson started with Dana in 1991; Pobst joined the company in 1992 and Owen and Taylor started at Dana in 1993.
