Pate has 17 years experience in the banking industry, including bookkeeping, loan service and as a teller.

She previously worked for NationsBank of Cape Girardeau.

Capaha Bank has operations in Cape Girardeau, Tamms, Ill., and Cairo, Ill.

Joshua H. Stephens of Cape Girardeau has joined MetLife Insurance as an account representative.

Stephens, who has experience in sales, recently received life and health and security licenses, and is involved in ongoing MetLife training.

The local MetLife office is at 351 Silver Springs Road, Suite 110.

Jane Hyatt Thorpe, a Cape Girardeau native, has joined Walter Lansden Dortch & Davis (WLDD), a professional limited liability firm headquartered in Nashville, Tenn.

Thorpe will practice in the area of healthcare law. The firm has more than 100 attorneys.

She obtained her bachelor's degree from Princeton University where she was the recipient of the Willard Thorpe Senior Thesis Prize. She received her J.D. degree from Vanderbilt University, where she was the professional authorities editor of the Vanderbilt Journal of Transnational Law.

Promotions Plus Inc., which specializes in creative media promotions, developing and implementing local store marketing plans and advertising planning, has outgrown its previous site and has moved to a new location in Greenville, S.C. Julie Macke-Heyes, president and owner of the company, is the granddaughter of Mike and Bernice Stafford of Cape Girardeau. "We strategize how both the client's needs and the media's needs can best be met and tailored to a target audience," said Macke-Heyes. "Our teams have developed a unique ability to fill that niche."

Cindy Wright, MasterCuts manager at West Park Mall, has received the Regis Corp.'s President's Award, the corporation's highest honor recognizing exceptional manager.

Wright, selected from more than 1,800 managers of MasterCuts, Regis, SmartStyle, Family Hair and Trade Secret salons throughout the United States, was one of 150 managers to receive an all-expense paid trip to Barcelona, Spain.

The Regis Corp., established in 1922, has more than 3,500 salons and 30,000 stylists around the world.

Janis J. Gallamore, psychotherapist at Cottonwood Treatment Center in Cape Girardeau, has been awarded status as a Certified Diplomate (CD) by the American Psychotherapy Association.

Individuals approved for CD status must reach some stringent requirements in areas of knowledge, skill, training and experience in the psychotherapy field.

The APA, headquartered in Milwaukee, recognizes experience and education of individuals engaged in psychotherapy.

Drs. Robert Kessinger and Dessislava Boneva of Kessinger Specific Chiropractic Clinic, 1424 Kurre Lane, recently presented scientific papers at the 15th annual Upper Cervical Conference, held at Life University in Marieta, Ga.

Kessinger presented "The Effects of Upper Cervical Specific Chiropractic Care on Intersegmental Motion in the Spine." He included survey results from 75 cases conducted at the Kessinger Clinic.

Boneva presented two case studies performed at the Kessinger Clinic, on Menier's disease and cervical spine trauma.

Lenn J. Scheibal has been appointed president and chief executive officer of General Sign Co. of Cape Girardeau and St. Louis.

General Sign is one of Missouri's oldest and largest manufacturers and erectors of outdoor electrical signs.
