William L. Killian of Orthopaedic Associates of Southeast Missouri, P.C., recently attended the 16th annual National Association of Orthopaedic Technician's meeting in Kansas City.
Killian, a pedorthist with the Center for Foot and Ankle Care at Orhopaedic Associates, specializes in the manufacture of foot orthoses to alleviate foot problems caused by disease, overuse and injury.
He presented two workshops on "Thermoplastic Splinting: An Alternative to Plaster and Fiberglass Splinting."
Glen Meyr of Jackson recently attended the annual Asgrow Seed Co. LCC dealer meeting, held at Robinson, Iowa.
Asgrow co-presidents, Danny Kennedy and John Schillinger, were among speakers at the three-day session. Presentations included updates on Asgrow's distribution network, information technology and seed genetics.
The annual meeting is designed to prepare dealers for the upcoming sales season, said Meyr.
Asgrow has provided agricultural seeds for more than 40 years.
Judy Watson of Cape Girardeau has joined West Park Mall as specialty leasing representative.
Watson previously owned Studio Designs Beauty Salon in Cape Girardeau.
She attended Southeast Missouri State University.
West Park Mall, owned by Westfield Shoppingtown, is near the Interstate 55-Route K exit.
Brandon C. Hahs and David L. Hahs were honored during a Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance dinner held recently at the home of district agent and Mrs. T. Ronald Hahs.
Brandon Hahs received the "Bull O' The Woods" award for the highest percentage increase in sales for the first six month of the year in 1998, producing 145 percent of his quota.
David Hahs was recognized as the agency sales leader for the company year ending May 31. He has been a member of the local agency since 1972 and is a life member of the Million Dollar Round Table.
Also honored for performances during the year were D. Joe McKeon, who has been with Northwestern in Cape Girardeau since 1980, and Dwayne C. Lorenza, of Sikeston, a Northwestern agent since 1969.
The local agency was founded by M. Luther Hahs in 1948.
Steve Bright of Sedgewickville has joined Coldwell Banker Hamilton Realty as a sale representative.
Bright, a registered nurse, previously worked at Southeast Missouri Hospital and the Missouri Veterans Home.
Three Ford Groves automotive technicians have earned Master Technician designations.
The three, Scott Payne, Rick McIntyre and Steve Sharp, received awards recently from Ford Motor Co. officials.
Allen Phillips, a sales manager with Prudential's Cape Girardeau Agency, 1020 N. Kingshighway, has been selected to attend the company's 1999 National Business Conference in Orlando, Fla.
Phillips is one of a select number of top performing sales agents in Prudential's 700-plus agency across the country to qualify for the conference where he will be recognized for excellence in the sale of insurance and financial products in 1997.
