John Schiwitz and Steve Hileman have received promotions by Dana Corp.'s Spicer Axle Division.
Schiwitz, who joined Dana in May 1996, has been a cell technician in Department 200 since then. His new position is cell leader in Department 200 on "B" Shift.
Hileman, who joined Dana in October, has been promoted from cell technician to cell leader on "B" Shift in Department 250.
Robert Glueck, Beaver Construction Co., and Barry Malahy, Malahy Contracting, recently completed four-day training courses at Bradford Farms in Columbia.
Glueck of Chaffee and Malahy of Jackson are licensed by the Missouri Department of Health to do loan evaluations for private water and septic systems.
Bradford Farms is sponsored by University of Missouri-Columbia Agriculture Department.
Eric Farris, a mechanic with Minor's Harley-Davidson-Suzuki Sales Inc., has received a "Mechanic to Mechanic" award from the American Suzuki Motor Corp. for outstanding achievement.
Farris was top finisher in a five-state video training incentive program conducted by Suzuki.
Jana Jateff, senior sales director with Mary Kay Cosmetics, has been honored for outstanding sales achievements by her unit.
Jateff, who started her Mary Kay career as an independent beauty consultant in October 1982, and became director in 1983, has earned the use of a 35th anniversary Mary Kay Edition white GMC Jimmy sport utility vechile.
Jateff has earned numerous awards and prices for her sales performances. She recently recognized her top performers in her unit during an areawide meeting in Carbondale, Ill.
Honored in the "wholesale for the quarter" category were Betsy Ferguson, Donna Hutsell, Sarah Lah, Mary Heisserer, Mik Hubbard and Kay Waller.
Lynn Langston of Clarkton has been re-elected chairman of the Bootheel Regional Planning Commission.
Other officers elected during the agency's July meeting were Kathie Simpkins of East Prairie, vice chairman; Bill Johnson of Malden, secretary; and Jane Coleman of Dexter, treasurer.
E.L. Burch, chairman of the board of Platte Valley Bank of Missouri, has been elected chairman of the Missouri Banker Association (MBA).
Burch, who also owns a bank consulting firm, is also chairman of the board of the Heritage State Bank and vice chairman of the board of Nodaway Valley Bank.
New MBA officers were elected during the organization's annual convention recently. David Gohn, president and CEO of West Plains Bank is chairman-elect; Paul Parkins, president of First Community National Bank of Steeleville, will serve as treasurer.
