Larry J. Westrich has been promoted to vice president of Drury Southwest, DSW Development, Drury Petroleum and West Park Lanes.
Westrich's appointment was announced recently by Robert A. Drury, president of Drury Southwest.
Westrich, who has been with various Drury organizations 21 years, was serving as director of Real Estate and Leasing for Drury Southwest.
During the past 12 years he has been involved in marketing and development of vacant land, operation and development of West Park Lanes and D-Mart convenience stores.
Westrich is a graduate of Notre Dame High School and holds a bachelor's degree in accounting and management from Southeast Missouri State University.
Jana Jateff of Cape Girardeau, senior sales director for Mary Kay Cosmetics, recently attended the Mary Kay National Cosmetics convention at Dallas, Texas.
Jateff received a one-carat diamond and garnet ring for outstanding retail sales for the year. She also receives the use of a sports utility vehicle, for her selection to the Mary Kay National Court of Sales for a fourth time.
She was one of about 7,000 Mary Kay representatives at the convention.
Cassandra "Nikki" Wilson, Debra K. Johns and Michael A. Radake, all of Schott & Van de Ven, Certified Public Accountants, have completed training courses.
Wilson, a staff accountant, recently completed a three-day staff training course conducted by the Missouri Society of CPAs. The course included topics on auditing and review techniques.
Johns, audit supervisor, attended classes on corporate compliance plans for health care providers and minimizing the risk of fraud. The training, held at St. Louis, was sponsored by the Missouri Society of CPA.
Radake completed a specialized accounting course, sponsored by the Tennessee Society of CPAs. The course included information on compliance and administrative requirements concerning employee benefit plans.
Schott & Van de Ven, 1020 N. Kingshighway, Suite D., has 25 employees and operates satellite offices in Marble Hill and Marion.
Cheryl L. (Schreiner) Venable, formerly of Oak Ridge, has been named assistant vice president at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis.
Venerable, daughter of Jerry Schreiner and the late Laverne Schreiner of Oak Ridge will have the responsibility for Fed ACH, the Federal Reserve System's automated clearinghouse operation.
She joined the bank at Minneapolis in 1996, after working at the Federal Bank of St. Louis five years. In St. Louis, she was an analyst in the risk management department and later manager of the automated clearinghouse.
Venable, a 1987 graduate of Oak Ridge High School, has bachelor's and master's degrees in business administration from St. Louis University.
James Harlan, owner of Super D. Express Pharmacy in Poplar Bluff, has been installed as secretary of the Missouri Pharmacy Association (MPA).
He was installed at the MPA annual convention, held at Tan-Tara-A Resort in Osage Beach.
Cathy Ritter has been named deputy director of the Bureau of Tourism and Film, a division of the Illinois Department of Commerce and Community Affairs (DCCA).
Governor George H. Ryan announced Ritter's appointment recently.
Ritter has served as managing director of the DCCA's office of communication, information and marketing.
