Dr. Paul D. Thompson has been named president of the Southeast Missouri Hospital medical staff.
Others officers are Dr. Gordon L. Haycraft, president-elect, and Dr. Khalid I. Khan, secretary.
Thompson, affiliated with Urology Associates, 4 Doctors' Park, will also serve as Southeast's chief of staff. He has been a member of the hospital's medical staff since 1988. He received his M.D. degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. He served an internship in surgery at Youngstown, Ohio; completed residency in surgery at McClaren General Hospital in Flint, Mich., and a residency in urology at University of Louisville, Ky.
Haycraft, a member of Southeast's medical staff since 1984, is affiliated with Physician Associates, 3250 Gordonville Road. He will also serve as chairman of the credentials committee. He received his M.D. Degree form the University of Colorado School of Medicine, and completed both his internship and residency at David Grant U.S. Air Force Medical Center at Travis Air Force Base in California.
Khan, a member of the medical staff since 1983, will also serve as a member of the credentials committee. He started his medical education at the University of Peshawar in Peshwar, Pakistan. Following additional training in Pakistan and Providence, R.I., Khan completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at Georgetown University, District of Columbia General Hospital in Washington. He is affiliated with Pulmonary Clinic Associates at 62 Doctors' Park.
Cathy Farrenburg of New Madrid has joined the staff at Special Effects Styling Salon, 2532 William in Cape Girardeau.
Farrenburg was owner of a salon, The Hair Hut, at New Madrid for nine years.
Jonathan Knehans has joined Coldwell Banker Hamilton Realty in Cape Girardeau as a broker salesman.
Knehans, a native Cape Girardeau, graduated from Southeast Missouri State University, then enlisted in U.S. Army Military Intelligence. Following discharge from the Army, he was a criminal investigator with the U.S. Treasury Department's Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.
In 1981, Knehans graduated from Cleven Chiropractic College in Kansas City. Dr. Knehans practiced chiropractic at Hudson, Fla., before returning to Cape Girardeau.
Cheral Benthal of Cape Girardeau, has joined Wanda's Coiffures salon at 1405 Thomas Drive in Cape Girardeau.
Benthal has more than seven years experience as a stylist. She is a graduate of the Cooter, Mo., Beauty School.
Trudy Brandt of Cape Girardeau and Susan McDowell of Jackson have formed "Team Re/Max," a real estate partnership.
The new team is affiliated with Re/Max Achievers, 1471 N. Kingshighway in Cape Girardeau.
Cammie Seabaugh and Angie Morrison have received top-employee recognition from Special Effects Styling Salon.
Seabaugh, a stylist with the salon for more than nine years, received honors as "Retailer of the Year" from the salon during the company's annual Christmas dinner-party.
Morrison, who has been with the salon two years, was honored as "Stylist of the Year," an award presented by the salon to the stylist with the highest amount of service dollars for the year.
Joe Fraley has been named general sales manager of Springfield 33 (KSPR-TV).
Fraley started his career in broadcast media sales at Cape Girardeau and served as general sales manager at KBSI-TV here.
Mercantile Bancorporation Inc., headquartered in St. Louis, has announced a number of promotions, including Amy K. Bollinger, formerly of Cape Girardeau.
Bollinger has been named an officer in operations at St. Louis.
Michael V. McKay has been named senior vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer of Sabreliner Corp., headquartered at St. Louis.
McKay has more than 30 years in financial and managerial experience, having served most recently as a 20-year partner of Ernst & Young L.L.P., in Kansas City, New York and St. Louis. He is a graduate of Wichita State University with a degree in accounting. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs.
F. Holmes Lamoreux, Sabreliner chairman and chief executive officer, announced McKay's appointment recently.
Sabreliner, a diversified aviation maintenance and modification company, has 11 facilities in six states, including a branch at Perryville Municipal Airport.
