Plaza Tire Service Inc. has opened a new store in Mayfield, Ky. The store is in the Mayfield Plaza Shopping Center. The five-bay store will be the 20th in the chain. Jeff Hopkins of Mayfield will be the manager. The Cape Girardeau-based company has also announced plans for a store in Paragould, Ark., to open Sept. 9. Plaza Tire Service Inc. has opened a new store in Mayfield, Ky. The store is in the Mayfield Plaza Shopping Center.

The five-bay store will be the 20th in the chain. Jeff Hopkins of Mayfield will be the manager.

The Cape Girardeau-based company has also announced plans for a store in Paragould, Ark., to open Sept. 9. The Paragould store will be the first in Arkansas. Jim Allensworth of Poplar Bluff will be the manager of that store.

Plaza has also started construction on a new store in Desoto. The new facility will be at the existing site. The new five-bay store should be completed and ready for business Nov. 1.

The company has moved into its offices at 208 Linda St. The offices are connected to both its main distribution center and the service center at 2149 William St.

Plaza Tire was founded in 1963 by Vernon "PeeWee" Rhodes of Cape Girardeau.
