The Small Business Development Center at Southeast Missouri State University will be conducting counseling sessions for area small business people and people planning a business ventures. The counselor, Gil Degenhardt, will be available Tuesday, Sept. 19, from 9-11 a.m. at the Malden Chamber of Commerce, 607 N. Douglas.
Also, there will be counseling sessions 9-11 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 24, at the Sikeston Chamber of Commerce, 1 Industrial Drive; 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 25, at the Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce, 601 N. Kingshighway; and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, at the Southeast Regional Planning, 1 West St. Joseph, Perryville.
The counseling session are free and about an hour long.
The SBDC represents a "Partnership for Economic Development" between Southeast Missouri State University, the U.S. Small Business Administration, local financial institutions, area utility companies and Southeast Missouri municipalities. The goal is to stimulate diversity and growth in the small business sector of the economy by assisting new and existing businesses to become more productive and more profitable.
