Cape Starter and Alternator Service has celebrated its 20th anniversary. It opened for business Aug. 16, 1976, with one employee. Today it has three stores and 19 employees, serving a five-state area. The stores are in Jackson, Cape Girardeau and Carbondale, Ill.
It is owned by Lin Baker, Lee Baker, Leon Baker and Lisa Curtis.
The company rebuilds starters, generators and alternators for farm, vehicles, automobiles, trucks, industrial vehicles and motorcycles.
